It is essential that you are honest with each other and patient with each other. For all of the questions, please be intentional in your communication and follow these suggestions…

  • Begin by asking Jesus to meet with you both and to be involved in the conversation. Invite His Presence and guidance as you process everything.

  • In humility and with gentle care, share with your beloved. Ask forgiveness where necessary.

  • In humility and kindness, listen to your beloved as they share with you. Forgive where you can, help them to feel safe in sharing.

Personal Questions:

  • What are three ways that your beloved is an exceptional spouse?

Together Questions:

    • How can we lower that stress?

  • What are some areas in our marriage that could be improved?

Blueprint Questions:

  • What elements of our marriage would we like to see in the marriages of our children/grandchildren? What specifically would we have to do, change, or eliminate from our lives now in order to produce those qualities?

  • What elements of our marriage would we not desire to see in the marriage of our children/grandchildren? What specifically would we have to do, change, or eliminate from our lives now in order to eliminate those qualities for future generations?

Session 2: Building a Foundation
